Coming Back to Love
The Mystical Heart with the Crack in the Skull
“Come back to love, my dear, come back to love!”
We invite you to a 10-day psychedelic retreat designed to guide you in returning to love — a journey back to our most essential root. Here, in a safe and supportive container, we’ll explore the visceral experience of love: how it feels, how the body responds, and how, given the right environment, love can flourish again like the branches, leaves, and crown of a deeply rooted tree. This retreat offers a powerful reorientation, bringing life into alignment with the heart's truth. The Core inquiry is about getting into the right relationship.
Pillars of the Journey
At the heart of this experience is Wachuma (San Pedro), a sacred Andean medicine known for its ability to open the heart and facilitate deep personal insight. Alongside the plant medicine, we’ll engage in meditative therapies that integrate Eastern wisdom, Andean and eastern shamanism, psychology, and philosophy. These practices are carefully chosen to help you access and nurture profound inner knowing and clarity.
Nestled within the serene Mountain House Retreat, this journey invites you to open to life with a renewed sense of wonder. Here, we will shed judgments, lean into life’s full splendor, and reconnect with our truest selves. Through immersive experiences and the sacred setting, we’ll awaken from mechanical existence and reconnect with our authentic nature.
The Temple of the Moon
The Temple complex offers a profound ceremonial journey that mirrors our transformative process. Beginning at the ancient Frog Temple for purification, we move through the Temple of the Moon - a sacred cave sanctuary where moonlight illuminates ancient stone carvings of the serpent, condor, and puma. These symbols represent the three worlds of Incan cosmology: Hanan Pacha (upper world), Kay Pacha (middle world), and Ukju Pacha (lower world).
Our journey culminates at the impressive San Pedro Temple, where a monolithic phallic structure rises from the earth, creating a perfect balance with the feminine moon energies. This unique arrangement of sacred spaces creates an ideal container for our work with the Huachuma medicine. The temple complex's connection to Qapac Ñan (the ancient Incan road network) and its proximity to other sacred sites like Sacsayhuaman adds to its spiritual significance. Here, the ancient wisdom encoded in stone meets our modern quest for healing and transformation.
In Right Relationship
A Phrasing that describes the core of the retreat. Coming back to love reorients you to get into the right relationship with your Experience and Existence. This aims at the deep recognition that life is not about you adapting to expectations - rather it is about realizing that there is a very specific uniqueness about your makeup that is needed today. If that were not the case - you simply would not have won the game of being born. AND this implies that there is a purpose of you breathing on this planet. The right relationship will reveal the multiplicity of your identity and uncover the vision of your heart. This is hinted by the subtitle - the mystical heart with the crack in the skull.
